other Large Lots.
The sale begins with a
very eclectic selection of large lots representing Worldwide Mixed and
Single-Countries, as well as British Commonwealth Omnibus Issues, Topicals / Thematics, and an “Interrupted [‘Crash’] Cover”, being the 1937 Cygnus mishap on a cover to Austria, and bearing an unusual
German-language cachet.
The British Commonwealth is highlighted by larger sections of Ascension, Australia, very comprehensive Bermuda (Lot Nos. 188-279; with very many specialized KGV and KGVI ‘Keyplate’ issues), Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Northern Rhodesia (specialized, incl ‘SPECIMEN’ issues), Rhodesia (w/ a very strong and comprehensive ‘Double Heads’ section), and Zanzibar (incl the rare 1890s-1900s Composite Photographic Essays).
